Have you ever felt overwhelmed, not knowing what to do or who to turn to?
I left the house to run errands and I had a lot on my mind. I was really struggling with anxiousness. There were so many things happening and I was completely overwhelmed.
My husband and I weren’t on the best of terms and I was being impatient with the kids. It was one obstacle after the next.
Dreadfully as I pulled back into our community I could hear…”look up.”
I looked up and to my amazement it was the most beautiful sky I had seen in a while. You know, when you’re going through something your head has a tendency to feel like the the weight of 100 pound dumbbell.
As my eyes looked toward the sky the Holy Spirit filled my heart with these words: Look to the hills from whence comes your help, your help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2).
In that moment, my entire countenance changed. Anxiousness and impatience were replaced with the perfect peace of God.
Each week I link up on FiveMinuteFriday for a one word prompt, the prompt for this week is: moment. If you would like to learn more about the link up, click here.
Have a great weekend!
I have had these moments…I know exactly what you mean. There have been some challenging mornings when I looked up and saw full rainbows. I have calmly thanked God and the stress lifted like nothing…
